CACHOEIRA DA PARIDA | PARIDA'S WATERFALL
A 120 km de São Roque de Minas, aproximadamente, localizada na região de Sacramento, encontra-se a cachoeira da Parida. A cachoeira fica em propriedade privada e é considerada uma das mais belas quedas d'água da região. Lugar de águas cristalinas, ótima para banhos e mergulhos livres. A Cachoeira da Parida ganhou esse nome porque, segundo a lenda, uma escrava grávida teria dado a luz na beira do córrego. De um pequeno cânion incrustado nas rochas, brotam duas cachoeiras que caem num poço azul e de águas cristalinas. As águas serpenteiam pelas pedras e formam uma segunda queda d´água mais abaixo, que cai em uma segunda piscina profunda e de águas verdes chamada de "Poço do Macaco", nome dado pelo formato da pedra encontrada no local. Ali se forma um rio de águas transparentes que irão se unir ao Rio das Velhas que, mais pra frente, se torna no Rio Araguari e vai até o sul do Brasil.

The waterfall is privately owned and is considered one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the region. Crystal clear waters, great for baths and free dives. The Parida Waterfall got its name because, according to legend, a pregnant slave would have given birth at the edge of the stream. From a small canyon encrusted in the rocks, two waterfalls that fall in a blue well and of crystalline waters. The waters goes through the rocks and form a second lower waterfall, which falls into a second deep pool of green water called the "Monkey's Well", named after the shape of the stone found on the spot. There a river with transparent waters forms that will join to the Velhas river that, more ahead, becomes in the Araguari river and goes until the south of Brazil.
